About my Shadow Aero

It's a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750.  While this is the first bike I've ever owned, I'm certain that it's my favorite.  I fell in love with the design of the bike when I saw it on the showroom floor, and then decided that I wanted to start riding motorcycles.  After day one of the MSF's road course, I went down to the dealer and bought it.

Since that day two and a half years ago, I've put almost 40,000 miles on it, and am on my 3rd set of white-walls.  Living in Southern California, the bike has seen the Pacific Northwest, the Gulf Coast, as well as the Atlantic Ocean--not to mention all the states in-between.

It's taken me a long time to put the bike together the way I wanted it, but I finally think I'm "done."  Of course, this is not the first time I've said "I'm done"--I said it before I ordered the Mustang seat, before I installed the Cobra Lightbar, and then again before I installed the Roadhouse Classic 2-into-1 exhaust.  I guess I should say, "I'm done--Unless something else cool comes out for the bike."

I felt the same way about my '95 a.c.e. when I saw it. To me, it had the classic lines and looks of the '50's era bikes I always saw in films and t.v., and I could afford it. I'm "married, with children" and couldn't do a Harley. For the money spent, I couldn't be happier, and at this point, don't care if I ever own a Harley.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.  It took a lot of time and effort to get it that way, and it's good to know that people appreciate my work.  For the guy with the seat he can't get off; Take off that little round bolt behind the passenger seat as well as the Allen-head bolts to the side of the rear of the main seat.  Once you take the whole seat off, flip it over and it'll be obvious how to remove it.  Let me know when you post your picture, builtwiser.

Sweet ride, man. Good job.
Question. How easy was it to remove the passenger seat? I have a 05 Aero and tried every wrench that I have to unscrew that one bolt that connects the two seats. Can't get it off...    I think I need to saw it off.
